Hello @Jack_P and :welcome:

While examining the logs from the Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware (MBARW) v0.9.17.689 Business install, it was discovered that the MBARW install has been attempted on a server.

MBARW can not and should not be installed on a server including the Microsoft Server 2008 R2 SP1.

Reference: Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Administrator Guide, Page 2, Hardware Requirements.

Thank you always for your interest in Malwarebytes' products.

Would this explain why it cannot be activated?

Hello @Jack_P:

Examination of the archived data logs from the Windows 7 client show that communications are failing between %ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes\Anti-Ransomware\MB3Service.exe and Malwarebytes related servers.  These critical communications must be permitted continuously.  It is strongly recommended that no intentional IP resolution be employed and instead only utilize URL resolution.

After the necessary system parameterizations have been achieved, please reply to this topic with your progress.  Thank you.

Hello @Jack_P:

The limited functional communications test result, with arwlogs.exe, for that W7Pro workstation are now successful.  From that W7Pro system, please use either the Firefox or IE 11 browser and report the screen content result from browsing to:

Thank you.
