Malwarebytes still at v3.0.6

Recommended Posts

Malwarebytes is stuck at version 3.0.6 and claims there no program updates, it says it is up to date. Automatic updates are enabled. See the included jpg files. I have a paid subscription.

OS: Windows 10 pro creators update 64-bit

I will now download and install the newest version on top of the existing Malwarebytes and see over the coming time if it will update itself. If not, I will report back. I just wants to let you know.

Have a nice day.

If it does not work for you do a clean install with MB clean. ** Download MB-Clean Here **

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Malwarebytes on top of the existing one (=without uninstalling) just fine. It is now at version 3.1.2

Our updates are staged, not everyone gets updated at the same time.

How long can it wait to download and install the newest version automatically? What is/are the reason(s) updates are staged?

The time to wait for updates is not static. We provide updates at a rate of X computers per hour usually where X can be any number. So it's hard to say exactly how long you'll have to wait for a program update to come through.

We stage program updates for a variety of reasons, but one of the key reasons is to make sure the update process goes smoothly for users. It's much easier to turn off updates in case something goes wrong than try to help a mass amount of users roll back.

I see, thanks for the explanation. Keep up the good work! :)
