Removing Detected Threats from the Console

Hi,

I'm running MWB Management Console Version 1.8.0.3443

Up until now I've been deleting detected items from the client on path : C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Quarantine

Isn't there a way to do this from the console? The clear logs option just clears the logs, it doesn't clear the quarantine files and so the client stays red in the console window.

Hi @kev, clients will stay highlighted red until a new scan comes back clean. You do not need to delete the quarantine to remove the highlight.

The quarantine cannot be deleted on the endpoints from the console. It is actually our recommendation to not delete the quarantine in case a detection turns out to be a false positive. The items sent to quarantine are stripped of their extension and encrypted, leaving them no chance to run, the items are also not very large in size at all. Impact on disk usage is minimal. If you wish to still delete them, you'll need to do it manually via a script or locally on the machine.
