I recently purchased a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad, solely to use when I'm out and about. I've spent the last few hours installing various anti-virus and malware programs, running them and tweaking settings.

When I first ran Adwcleaner, it detected 20 threats! In all my time using Adwcleaner, the number it previously detected per scan I could count on one hand. I cleaned up the system and restarted the laptop. Everything seems to be gone, apart from this file:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{83FF80F4-8C74-4B80-B5BA-C8DDD434E5C4}

Everytime it's detected and deleted, it keeps reappearing after rebooting. After doing this a few times, I decided to research the issue but haven't come across anything conclusive.

If anyone can help, it'd be much appreciated.

The first two Adwcleaner logs have been attached and I've since uninstalled Chrome (which was already installed on the laptop).
