Unable to do right click scans with MB 3.0.6 Premium?

Recommended Posts

With premium versions i could right click folders and pictures and downloads and so on and chose to scan these with malwarebytes. With this new Malwarebytes Premium 3.0.6 version i can no longer do so. Have the staf at Malwarebytes disable this very useful feature? If so,why? Can i enable the right click scaning folder option in some sort of way?

Malwarebytes Premium 3.0.6 version i

That version is out of date now. Let's get a fresh start with the current version. Follow the below directions.

** Download MB-Clean Here **

How to use it?

  1. Download the latest version of MB-Clean by clicking the link above
  2. Close all open applications
  3. Double-click and run mb-clean.exe
  4. A prompt with an option to clean up the system will appear:
    • Yes - will proceed with backing up the license key (Malwarebytes 3.x only) and initiating the cleanup process
    • No - will exit the utility
  5. Once the cleanup process is completed, a prompt will appear:
    • Yes – will proceed and post reboot you will be prompted to continue with the downloading, installation and activation of latest version of Malwarebytes 3.x
    • No – will exit the utility and you will not be prompted (post reboot) to download, reinstall and re-activate (not recommended)
      • We recommend rebooting immediately. Additionally, stopping at this step is not recommended and will most likely not resolve your issue(s).
  6. Upon reboot, a prompt will appear:
    • Yes - will download, install and activate the latest version of Malwarebytes 3.x
    • No - will exit the utility and the cleanup process is complete
      • Choose this option if you do not want to download, install and activate the latest version of Malwarebytes 3.x
    • A log file ("mb-clean-results.txt") will be on your desktop

Even though you are on version 3.0.6 (and its old) that option should still be available to you.  You should upgrade as mentioned above but to make sure the option is enabled go to settings and enable the option as shown in the picture below....

Thank you for the help Porthos and Firefox! :)

Indeed one could enable the right click feature in the 3.0.6 version like you explained Firefox. I missed that setting.

I did not knew that there was a newer version of MB Premium, but i downloaded it like you explained Porthos. I now have the 3.1.2 version installed and one can right click scans with it. The issue is solved!

New versions are metered out over time. You would have been notified eventually.  Glad everything is working now. Thanks for supporting Malwarebytes.

Hello @mc0060 and :welcome:

The MB3 current release is v3.1.2.1733-1.0.139-1.0.2060 and it is being throttled out in a randomized fashion.  Your choices are: Do nothing and wait for the system to be chosen in that random manner or download the latest release with very many updates from Component Package Update 1.0.139 Released and install at your convenience.
