fdelaroche Posted May 31, 2017 ID:1131584 Share Posted May 31, 2017 (edited) The only way of getting Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit), Firefox 53.0.3 (64-bit) and VLC 64 bits is to shut Malwarebytes 3.1. This happens on both a desktop and a laptop. Once the programs have opened properly, they keep functionning for some time, but revert to malfunctionning eventually. It seems another way to get Chrome to work is to append "no-sandboxing" to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.ex" line in the shortcut properties. So far Malwarebytes support has not answered the ticket I opened 2 days ago. I hate having to disable a security app to get a browser to access the Internet for obvious reasons. Can anyone help ? Thanks in advance Fredric mb-check-results.zip Edited May 31, 2017 by fdelaroche
1PW Posted May 31, 2017 ID:1131594 Share Posted May 31, 2017 Hello @fdelaroche: In the U.S.A., where the largest part of the support team is, we are coming to the end of a very long weekend coupled with a federal holiday for Memorial Day and many will have been away with family celebrating. Since you have opened a trouble ticket with the support folks, any help from this forum would be considered interference and we never wish to work at cross purposes. If you have sent a very similar narrative with your trouble ticket, and you have included the same mb-check-results.zip file too, please consider supplementing that information by also sending them the two (2) output diagnostic report files that are produced by the appropriate Farbar Recovery Support Tool (FRST64) as it is likely to be requested. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
fdelaroche Posted May 31, 2017 Author ID:1131645 Share Posted May 31, 2017 Thank you. I'll wait. Last time I contacted support I mainly got automated messages and sorted out the problem myself.
