Do malwarebytes care about resellers?

Hi fellas

Having a bit of an issue here, I have tried contacting malwarebytes for the past 5 days and I am have no response. I am an authorized reseller based in the UK. I had purchased some licenses from a distributor and listed them both on my website and eBay at a fair price - I don't undercut people. A day later regardless of using my company name as my eBay username I get the listing removed followed by a warning from eBay's vero team " Your listing was removed after the rights owner notified us that your item violated their software licensing rights. " I contacted Malwarebytes and they asked for the listing number, I also contacted a channel manager and he said they have no issue with me selling on ebay.. now it's been 5 days and a few e-mails later they have not replied to any of my e-mails, they've not contacted eBay either and they have left me with licenses that I am now unable to sell which cost me a fair sum.

 

Any advice guys?

Not to worry about the holiday - it's not observed in the U.K.

I guarantee though, the alert message has been sent.

You will need to wait at least 8 more hours for them to notify those who oversee reseller relations.

Hi @sean_m85, sorry we missed this. Like 1PW mentioned, we've been on an extended weekend due to the Memorial Day on Monday.

What was the email you used to contact our reseller team?

I'll see if I can track it down and get a response for you.

Very confused right now, I had an e-mail reply from your channel manager Tom Dell confirming we were accepted as a reseller and he also stated that it was ok to sell both on eBay and my website. Now I just got a reply from a nameless person at malwarebytes@enforcements.markmonitor.com who gave me instructions on how to apply as a reseller and told me it's not ok to sell on ebay.. I'm getting mixed messages.

celee , He had no idea about Section 5.4. of the Reseller Agreement. Understandable. Still, I no longer know if I am a reseller or If im not a reseller. Either way we've now ended up with licenses we can't sell if we're not resellers. Very confusing. If only it was as strait forward as AVG.

I was also under the impression the selling on eBay was not permitted, but glad to hear that Tom was able to confirm that resellers are not permitted to sell on eBay.

As for whether or not you are a reseller, I believe the email you got from malwarebytes@enforcements.markmonitor.com is a automated email, but would recommend you reach out to Tom regarding your reseller status.

Really makes me wonder why there are resellers (or sellers) on ebay who have been selling your software for a few months now, with 84416 and no removals. you have those who's listings are removed and you have those who are not touched by it.
