I started out subscribing to MBAM 3.0.xxxxx. Had nothing but problems on my 8Gig HP Pavilion. It was sucking up my CPU resources and practically slowing my computer to a crawl. Then went to 3.0.6.1469, 3.0.7.1003, 3.0.7.1043,  Still had problems. So I download a previous version 2.2.1.1043. Runs fine, no problems. Would like to know if the techs at MBAM are ever going to get this issue corrected? I see many posts where people are still having problems. I also see now there is a newer version 3.1.2.1733 which I am not now inclined to try. Does anyone have any clue as to what is happening with this V3.x.x.xxxx version. Should I wait for a V4 fix?

Hello @PeterM

We do understand your frustration with the various issues you have been experiencing.

We are continuously trying to improve our product and make it more reliable.

That being said I would recommend to install the latest 3.1.2.1733 build. This is a very stable build which has been well tested.

https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mb3 for the latest.

It works better than 3.0.6 and has many improvements over it.

Thank you .

The best way would be to run MB-Clean: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

This tool will clean up 2.2.1.1043 and will ask you for a reboot.

After reboot you will be prompted to reinstall Malwarebytes product again and when you install that will be our latest 3.1.2.1733 product.

This tool will also backup your license so you won't have to entry your key anywhere.

Thank you.

Do you need to deactivate your license first or no?

I agree. You don't need to do it.

If you want to feel safe you could manually deactivate your license key manually, but the tool will then not automatically activate the product for you.

After migrating to 3.x you will need to manually enter the key to activate.

Hello,

You should try, all the same.

The last one has been modified and offers a selection.

In addition, scanning is much faster

Greetings

For the Team, it's perfect for me. Thank you for completing my requests.
