SHAREit - Malware or False Positive?

Is this really a malware? Out of all these days of using it, why suddenly detecting it as a malware, when the application isn't updated?

Any others facing similar issue?

I got a malware alert also for Android.trojan.dropper.agant.aya and linked to Shareit. Never came up before today.

I have just had same problem on lenovo tablet. Disabled shareit, but can't get rid of it. My Internet has now disconnected from my tablet and wants my router password to obviously reconnect. Would it be safe to do this or am I overreacting.

Hello :) 

I've experienced the same problem today. That made me panic. I tried to disable SHAREit by force, but Malwarebytes kept on notifying me that my device has issues. I installed Kaspersky, but it hasn't detected any problems.

I did that also and mcfee security and nothing showed on them. I'm worried if I connect my tablet back to the router it cd infect that and other devices????!

I'm also getting this same problem on my Lenovo Tablet, it would be nice to find out if this is a false positive or a real trojan the thing is I updated to the latest version from Playstore so it should be safe, right?

Been onto lenovo on chat. Did everything asked which I'd either done and failed. Told me to do factory reset and this shd work. Done this tonight. Disabled shareit and scanned again.  STILL THERE.   Waiting for lenovo response.

I have messaged Lenovo and they are getting back to me hopefully!   I will post when I hear something for you pchapa.
