Scan finds 2 items, then quarantines over 100

Recently, a scan would find 2 items to quarantine.  The program then quarantines over 100 items?  What's that all about?

The Malwarebytes' staffers/helpers must have good log data for a quality fault analysis to begin.

1) Using the referenced guide above, please generate an appropriate text (.txt) file that shows what was discovered by the scan you mentioned.

3) In your next reply to this topic, please only attach the four (4) separate files that are developed above: Scan.txt, mb-check-results.zip, FRST.txt, and Addition.txt.

The reports will help to confirm, but based on your symptoms, this is most likely what we refer to as "linked traces". This means that while we may find two pieces of an infection, we actually go through and remove any other pieces of information that the infection is known to leave behind. We are working on improving the messaging in the UI for this so it's less confusing
