Try this fix to turn on real-time protection

If you have a Malwarebytes icon on your desktop, right click and go to properties.  Choose compatibility tab and check the Run as Administrator box and apply, close.  You may get a pop-up box to allow Malwarebytes to make changes- say yes.  Restart your computer.  All real-time protections should then be back on.
