AntAntAnt Posted May 21, 2017 ID:1128599 Share Posted May 21, 2017 Hey guys a couple nights ago I got hit pretty hard with some viruses. I tried resolving the issue by just reinstalling windows 10, but something went wrong and I had a whole bunch of corrupted files and broken dll's. Not only that but certain installation programs were being tampered with such as NVidea drivers, google chrome, etc. I was able to reset my pc using the recovery option. Windows completely removed all the files and did a reinstall (placing the previous files it in windows.old). Everything seemed fine. Although I'm not completely sure. It seems like some of my downloads are being messed with (for example spotifysetup.exe has malware in it: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/fdc477f2a1521f87ce0a5c9cdc9855ab4bc6f430b9293908e026a67db55dee4a/analysis/1495342089/ I also scanned BitDefender and it has a torjan in it called "wisedom eyes" :https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d26dfa347727741e792ee7415382e450b3d46d3ead4348ff15cb092c230b4d59/analysis/1495311585/ This has to be me right? Why would AV companies want to install viruses? Unless they don't know and they themselves are infected) and my main hard drive keeps getting fragmented very easy even when I've just defraged it. I did an sfc scan and it came up clean with no errors. Maybe I'm just being paranoid or just being stupid? But I would really like to know if I'm still infected. Malwarebytes says everything is fine and SuperAntiSpyware cant find anything. I'm not really a tech person otherwise I would have posted logs attached with this forum. Also sorry if I posted this in the wrong area I'm new here. Thank you for your time and sorry if I'm just being dumb.
AntAntAnt Posted May 21, 2017 Author ID:1128656 Share Posted May 21, 2017 Okay, I ran Farbar and have attached the necessary files. I have also attached my threat scan (Although it didn't detect anything). It might be worth noting that I have scan for rootkits checked but in the text file it says its disabled.
