After installing Malwarebytes 3.1, my computer is hanging on the welcome screen for several minutes when I boot up. I previously thought that something else was wrong with the machine (ie. a faulty Windows update), so I flashed my hard drive with a CloneZilla image I took a few weeks ago. (I do them on a monthly basis.) The problem was gone until I reinstalled MBAM 3.1. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a workaround to this extremely annoying (and time-wasting) problem? I've wasted almost all day bringing my computer up to date with all of the stuff that's changed since the last image I took, and now I'm back where I started. :(

It happened inconsistently, but I seem to have been able to resolve the problem by delaying the protection start by 15 seconds. (I cannot remember what the setting is called and I cannot look right now because I do not currently have access to a computer with MBAM on it, so I am just going to hope that you know what I am referring to.)

I have the same problem as you but on Windows 7 (Windows 10 seems OK). I found that delaying the startup can just cause MWB to hang the system later instead of earlier. As the behaviour is inconsistent, you may find after a few restarts that you have not resolved it at all

Well I enabled the delay a day before I made the post stating that I had done so, and as of this post, I have gone about two whole days without problems whatsoever. I don't seem to be experiencing the system hang later instead of earlier though.
