HI ALL,

I AM UNABLE TO DOWN LOAD MALWAREBYTES ON MY SECOND COMPUTER EITHER THE FREE OR THE RECENTLY PURCHASED FULL VERSION. ANY SUGGESTIONS. THANKS.

Recently, I was infected with malware while running AVG AV software. This is a very nasty infection: Some of the symptoms are as follows:

Hijacked IE browser---takes me to unwanted sales sites

Win XP Refuse to load Firefox browser

Disabled antivirus

WinXp will not download AV updates

None of my Registry Cleaners can download updates

None of my Registry Cleaners will execute---or they will crash upon execution.

I can no longer execute newly installed Av software

Hardware drivers for my TCP/IP protocol under network settings were tempered with.

I no longer have internet connectivity

WinXP Task Manager fails---most of the time. intermittent

keyboard locks up

mouse does not work intermittently

WinXP won't boot up

Wont go into SAFE mode

Sometimes NO POST

Restore functions all messed up---phoney entries

when restore to earlier working condition---everything got worse

online registery scanners----crash

online AV scanners crash

Microsoft windows Defender crash

online Microsoft onecare CRASH

Kaspersky online scanner crashes

KAV antovirus crashes---I onnly use one antivirus at a a time.

Active X controls will download and excecute but crash=---IE is toast

Firefox won't run

Opera won't run

Intermittent BLUE desktop----no icons

Other times black screen no icons

after a few hunderd tries I can now get my desktop back.

I reinstalled HP network TCP/IP drivers

Present condition:

b.exe still running

got my desktop back

no more hijacking---that I know of

lots of resources going to b.exe

NO AV will run

Ccleaner can run and do registry cleaning---AML registry cleaner fails

One care registry cleaner fails

MALWARE bytes anti malware crashes

What do I do now ( I manually type in URL address to go to website---google search is still hijacked)

Floordog

Device Manager shows many exclamation marks under network devices.

Intermittent problems---but I found "b.exe" running using TASK Manager when I got it to run.

I ran "The_Comedian" ---uninstalled it

Installed promo Malware bytes *(using usb drive)

When executed---it updates, makes desktop icons---and prompts okay until I click EITHER Quick Scan or complete scan.

Within seconds----application seems to stop. Nothing new observed in WinXP task manager.

I al so noticed numerous WINXP error messages:

"error signature b.exe AppVer 0.0.0.0 ModNAme ntdll.dll

ModVer 5.1.2600.5755 Offset: 00010b2c"
