My website protection keeps turning off also. It appears that this problem is with a lot of users. Hope you fix it ASAP!

I have the same problem.

To get things working normally again simply open Malwarebytes and click on "Current" next to where it says Updates in the Dashboard and it should download and install working databases.  If it is able to successfully update but protection still is not working, then please try right-clicking the Malwarebytes tray icon next to your system clock and select Quit Malwarebytes and then open Malwarebytes once again from your START>Programs menu or from the shortcut located on your Desktop.

If the issue persists, then please try restarting your PC.

If you have any further issues, please create a new topic and one of our team members will assist you.

Thank you again for all your patience, we really appreciate it and thank you for using Malwarebytes.

This morning I had the same problem on both of my machines.  I leave both machines on 24/7. But now I noticed that both machines have website protection running.  I think you need to open up malwarebytes go to setting and select the protection tab.  Turn on the web protection and when you see web protection starting, reboot your machine.  This work for both of my machines.

Restarting the app has apparently fixed the issue.  I will monitor the state of the real-time protections for any further stops.  Do you know why this issue has become so pervasive?

From what I understand it was a bad database update that was fixed very quickly.

We're just sorry that it happened at all and for any inconvenience, it may have caused any of our customers and users.  Rest assured we are taking measures to see to it that this issue does not occur again.

Thanks for sticking through this with us and thank you for using Malwarebytes :)
