Malwarebytes 3.1.2.1733 "Updates are not current"

Recommended Posts

Having problems with this release. At first Real-time protection would not turn on so I uninstalled MWB and used mbam-clean-2.3.0.1001.exe to clean up. Rebooted and reinstalled and real-protection now works. Entered my license key and now the datebases won't update. The dashboard shows "Updates are not current" I click on "Check for updates" and there is apparent progress under the "Scan status" pane for about 1.5 seconds but it doesn't actually update. Rebooted but still nothing.

I am getting exactly the same thing, and have done everything that Bazza has done, i.e. uninstall, clean with mbam etc and reinstalled 3.1.2.1733. I also had to do this because Real-time protection wouldn't turn on. My component package version is 1.0.122 and update package version is 1.0.1906. I have done a complete scan with both Malwarebytes, and Avast, and nothing has shown up.

I did the same, reinstalling made web protection enable again and scan work properly. But MB says it's out of date but it wont initiate update. My guess is that perhaps this is related to the devs acknowledging issue with latest update, perhaps they are preventing ud from downloading it, but the MB still sees itself as not fully updated. Anyways; I think we should just wait for the devs to fix the newest updates. Reinstalling seemed like a good idea still.

I am having the same exact issues. I foolishly only checked the forum right now, so what I assume happened is that they in some way turned off updates because of the new issues, causing those of us who completely reinstalled the program to be temporarily unable to update.

To get things working normally again simply open Malwarebytes and click on "Current" next to where it says Updates in the Dashboard and it should download and install working databases.  If it is able to successfully update but protection still is not working, then please try right-clicking the Malwarebytes tray icon next to your system clock and select Quit Malwarebytes and then open Malwarebytes once again from your START>Programs menu or from the shortcut located on your Desktop.

If the issue persists, then please try restarting your PC.

If you have any further issues, please create a new topic and one of our team members will assist you.

Thank you again for all your patience, we really appreciate it and thank you for using Malwarebytes.
