Malwarebytes 3.1.2 scan cancelled

This morning I have successfully installed Malwarebytes 3.1.2.

However, when I try to run a scan the scan gets cancelled after about 11 seconds. 

I've uninstalled Malwarebytes, rebooted my laptop, and reinstalled Malwarebytes. 

After that the scan still gets cancelled. 

What could be cause of the problem?

This should now be resolved with database update 1.0.1976. After making sure you have the update, please restart your computer and then turn on Web Protection
