Web Protection will not start?

All the computers in my home (3) have the same issue which started this morning. An Exclamation point in a red triangle appeared over the MB icon and Malwarebytes says web protection is off (trying to start it fails) and scanning fails as well. Any ideas if an update did this as I find it hard to believe it is a virus since all 3 of my PCs had it happen at the same time and others on the forum have the same issue. I hope Malwarebytes pushes a fix quick. All PCs running variations of Windows 10

Very typical these days for a any vendor to push updates and have a failure and ignore it until the poor users cry out!

Restarting PC did not help.  Should I uninstall?  Is there a cleanup tool?  Then reinstall?

The Malwarebytes team knows about it and according to a staff member, they are working to resolve the issue.

I am also affected. I also noticed that under the protections settings, "scan for rootkits" was toggled off for some reason.

They seem to have the system scans up and running again
