Oh yes scanning is back like a hopeful dove at the dawn but the Web Protection stil "sleeping" at starting and the Malware Protection just manual turned on only (automatically be turned off when opened program). I have a good star for MWB. Work hard and efficiently ! ;)

I got to my office and found the same problem.  Scanned early this morning, updated for the scan and now Web Protection is off and not starting.

To get things working normally again simply open Malwarebytes and click on "Current" next to where it says Updates in the Dashboard and it should download and install working databases.  If it is able to successfully update but protection still is not working, then please try right-clicking the Malwarebytes tray icon next to your system clock and select Quit Malwarebytes and then open Malwarebytes once again from your START>Programs menu or from the shortcut located on your Desktop.

If the issue persists, then please try restarting your PC.

If you have any further issues, please create a new topic and one of our team members will assist you.

Thank you again for all your patience, we really appreciate it and thank you for using Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes OK, now:

Updated MWB to

version 3.1.2.1733
components 1.0.122
package 1.0.1976

Restarted the PC

No more protections disabled.

Solved, thanks.

It looks like the issue is officially fixed:

It works for me as well. Press on Updates "current" blue link, wait for the green line to finish loading, quit malwarebytes by right clicking in the system tray, select "Quit Malwarebytes" and then launch Malwarebytes from the start menu or desktop shortcut, if it does not work, enable self protection module early start in Application Settings, restart the computer and everything should work fine. IF it still does not work, start a new topic in the forum.

work like a charm, thanks
