ADShaw Posted May 17, 2017 ID:1125712 Share Posted May 17, 2017 (edited) Hi, had some Malware for a couple of days now, had the free version of Malwarebytes (now bought a license) - it found a few threats which are now quarantined (see my attachment) - when I scan now, it shows no threats. However, whenever I open Firefox, it tries to open "launchpage.org" (which Malwarebytes successfully blocks). Chrome opens OK, however it sporadically opens new tabs with obviously malware-related URLs (e.g.hxxps://www.liveadexchanger.com/a/display.php?r=1064042), which, again, Malwarebytes blocks successfully. I've had new tabs open when I've clicked on the Credit Card field while buying Malwarebytes itself, the new tab was, again, blocked. Any idea why Malwarebytes is able to recognise these threats and block them, but not actually find the root cause and eliminate that?
