Porthos....I took your advice and installed 3.1 over 3.0.0.1469 and got this error popup "unable to connect to the service" after completing the install.  I reinstalled 3.1 over whatever was there and all seems to be working now.  All Realtime Protections are ON and nothing else seems amiss.  Thank you for the good support.  I'll let you know if anything happens in the next few days.
