Malwarebytes Scan resulted in GRUB rescue mode

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I started a custom full scan off all my HDDs and my SSD including rootkits. This due to one of my accounts being hacked recently so I wanted to make sure that I didn't have any malware on my PC. I left the computer for a couple of hours to let it finishand when I came back and turn on my screen I see a CMD looking GRUB rescue mode console that I can run commands in. I tried to restart my computer and to change my boot disc but it always shows this GRUB thing. I googled on how to fix it but nothing of what I saw worked. What also confuses me is that almost all videos I have seen were dual-booting windows and Ubuntu, which I don't. I'm a full Windows user who doesn't use any other operating system.

So my question is pretty much how to fix this or how it could have happened.

Kind Regards, Jonathan.

Also to add, the GRUB rescue console prints "error: unknown file system." at the start.
