We have several residential clients using MalwareBytes 3 and we also have SolarWindsMSP Web Protection installed on those computers.  The recent update v3.1.2.1733 of Malwarebytes Web Protection does not allow internet access with SolarWinds MSP Web Protection anymore.  Once I turned off MalwareBytes v.3.1.2.1733 Web Protection the workstations were able to access the internet again.  The old version worked with both Web Protections running before today's 5/14/17 update.  Is there something that we could enter into the Whitelist for SolarWindsMSP Web Protection that would allow MalwareBytes to work again?

Does SolarWindws allow you to exclude certain processes/websites? Most likely they are using a similar process to block sites as we do, which is causing this issue. If SolarWinds allows you to exclude files, I would start by excluding the following files:

https://support.malwarebytes.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2661002-malwarebytes-3-0-files-to-be-added-to-a-v-exclusions-list?b_id=15026

You'll also want to exclude the following drivers:

  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mwac.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbae.sys (if you're on 32-bit)
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbae64.sys (if you're on 64-bit)
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\farflt.sys

@dcollins, We can only whitelist websites and IP's within the policy setting of SolarWindsMSP Web Protection so do you have a list of IP's or websites that I could add to the whitelist instead of file locations and names?
