Upgraded to Malwarebytes 3.0, shows different license key

I just recently upgraded to the latest version of Malwarebytes 3.0 from 2.x. However, after the upgrade I noticed that the "My Account" tab shows a different License Key than the previous one before the upgrade. I thought the licenses carried over to the newer versions.

I just noticed this same thing.  Last night I updated my laptop from 2.x to 3.1.2 and Malwarebytes accepted my old ID  and key when I upgraded, but "My Account" has a different number than the one I had.  I am also yearly with this license.

If you're seeing this issue, can you please message me your old license key, and then take a screenshot of what is showing under Malwarebytes -> Settings -> My Account.

This is a part of  a new license format and it does not change your subscription or original license Key in any way.

Going forward you will be able to activate using either your original Key and ID OR your new key which you now see for MB 3.x product.

Thanks for the explanation.  One question though.  I have two computers that I updated from 2.x to 3.x.  Only one got a new key, the other one stayed the same.

The one that changed was an annual subscription.  The one that stayed the same was a lifetime subscription.  Is that why the other key stayed the same?

The new format change  only affected the licenses with Annual Subscription. Lifetime licenses were not included for the change.
