My Parent's Computer - On it's last leg!!!

My parent's computer is in trouble. They are unable to open up Malware Bytes, they get Google re-directs and will only boot up every once and awhile. Any suggestions????? Please help. Thanks.

1.39 of malwarebytes is out... when you can try to download it & grab the updates, what about your AV/Firewall? what do you use please?

That's part of the problem - no AV/Firewall.

Also - The virus/worm/whatever it is, won't let me install the new version of Malware

You really need to get a Anti Virus Program on there, like: Avira, or Avast. Malwarebytes complements a good AV program! Avira will pick up any Virus activity & Malwarebytes will watch the malware/spyware activity.
