Rare problem for my mbam

Recommended Posts

Since 2013 I use malwarebytes trial and since it passed away I stopped using it and deleted. Then now when I notice that malwarebytes has a free version I downloaded it and it wont start until i see a forum about malwarebytes chameleon. I downloaded it and when I try to open it it shows a command prompt/DDos idk.. But it disappear and all of my programs and my windows desktop disappear. When I try to open task manager it wont show but when I shutdown my pc all programs, desktop everything shows again but it shutdowns. Idk if that is normal or not. But when I try to open malwarebytes again it stopped working. I tried this method Issue:Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has stopped working.

Hello ********* and :welcome:

First, (but only if the MBAM program is running) please shutdown the realtime Malwarebytes Anti-Malware process: Go to the desktop Taskbar. See the blue-colored MBAM icon in the notification area.

Do a right-click on it with your mouse, and left-click Exit.

I have attached a zip file which you need to save to, and run from, your system's desktop.

Once saved, unzip it to extract all contents, which will be 2 files.

Next, double-click on the net_replacement.bat file.

It should run fairly quickly and in a command-prompt window.

I would suggest then a Logoff >> Shutdown >> Restart so that your pc is then in a new Windows session.

Then, please make sure that if any sort of web filter is in use, that you add the following as a trusted site:

data-cdn.mbamupdates.com

Once that is done, restart Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (if it's not already running) and let me know if "Update Now >>" works normally.

Thank you.

Netconf-batch-file.zip

But it wont work and also I tried also again the malwarebytes chameleon hoping to fix the malwarebytes to open but still the same. Also I unistalled malwarebytes and used MBAM Clean Removal Process 2.x. Then I installed the MBAM again and still it wont work it always shows "Malwarebytes has stopped working"

Any recommendations how to fix this?

I will try any suggestions :--)

Thanks. I hope it will be fixed since I trust malwarebytes much for my pc 59148256c005a_Mbamproblem.thumb.png.d1f2b77dd05fc407af8523f84c49213c.png

Hello @Emmajords

Apologize for the confusion. Can you please run the MB-Clean tool . Think you ran the MB-Check tool by accident.

The MB-Clean tool can be found at: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

This tool should clean up any remnants of older MB 3.x and will ask you for a reboot. After restart it will prompt you to download the latest MB 3.1.2.1733 build.

Please let us know if that worked.

Thank you,

I tried both MBAM check and the latest version of MB-Clean tool. It prompt me to download the latest MB and still wont start.

After the installation it shows "Malwarebytes Tray Application has stopped working" And I tried to open Malwarebytes and it shows "Malwarebytes has stopped working"
