BSOD Bad Header Pool mwac.sys

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm getting a bad pool header bsod. It happens when I connect to the internet. I have uninstalled bitdefender 2017, and the bsod still persists. I started getting this error when the installed on date for bitdefender in programs and features changed randomly ( which has happened twice now.) I'm not sure if this is to do with malware. Malwarebytes anti-exploits installed on date also changed randomly. I don't know if this is normal behaviour.

I started a thread here that has minidump files in it:

Thanks for reading! =)

Hello @redex and :welcome:

The Helpers/Staffers will need to see the logs that are tailored for Malwarebytes use.

Please read the following and attach to your next reply the 4 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs

The 4 separate logs to be only attached are logs.zip, FRST.txt, Addition.txt, and MB-CheckResult.txt.  Please do not archive all 4 of these reports.

Hello @redex

From your MB-Check logs it seems you have an older product version and component package version. The Bad pool header for the mwac module was a fix we put into a newer component package update.

I would recommend this:

Download and Run the MB clean tool : https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb_clean

Tool will ask for a reboot. Reboot and choose to install the latest product 3.1.2.1733.

That will fix your issue.

Thank you.
