HandBrake question

Recommended Posts

Yup, we're aware. We'll be posting further details in a blog post on Malwarebytes Labs, but if you think you might be infected, here's what you can do:

  1. Delete the HandBrake 1.0.7 app from your computer
  2. Scan your computer with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac and remove anything it detects
  3. Restart the computer if Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac recommends doing so

If you want to download a fresh copy of HandBrake, it should be clean by now, but unfortunately, since it's not code signed, there's no way to be 100% sure it hasn't been tampered with, and we don't know yet what measures the HandBrake team has taken to prevent another hack from happening.
