Rootkit goes into (not responding) scanning

Recommended Posts

So I have the requested resource in use Trojan. When I run the rootkit it'll find malware in the 700s but every time it gets their the program goes into not responding. I've ran it in normal and safe mode and it does the samething. I've deleted and downloaded mbar a few times. I'm not sure what else to do. Really need to get this Trojan off my PC

The program keeps freezing and says not responding...I tried it it both modes. I tried to just scan one at at time. It will scan the drivers and sectors fine. But scanning the system is when it will  go to not responding. It's been stuck on that for about a hour and a half. I still have it running to see if it will complete. At the moment it's found 2119 of malware

I was able to download Adware. It ran and found 114 issues. When trying to clean those the program would go into not responding. Not respondings starting to piss me off lol.....Ima gonna try to run it and clean it again

Mbar didn't find anything. So I think the Trojan is off. I can run exe programs now. But I have another problem. Windows 10 start button won't work and none of the apps like I.E. will open. I deleted chrome and Firefox and was gonna reinstall them but I cant open the damn IE app to do that. I'm running the sfc scan now at the moment. You got any ideas why the apps and start menu aren't working now?

It looks like MBAR removed the threat the last time. Now we'll run a scan with Malwarebytes since you should be able to install and run it.

  • Download and install the free version of Malwarebytes
    Note: It's your choice if you want to enable the free trial of Malwarebytes Premium or not. Enabling it will give you real-time protection from the program, as well as access to all the Premium features.
    Note: If you have Malwarebytes already installed, you don't need to install it again. Simply start from the next bullet point;
  • Once Malwarebytes is installed, launch it and let it update his database. You might have to click on the little arrow by Scan Status in the middle right pane for it to do so;
  • Once the database update is complete, click on the Scan tab, then select the Threat Scan button and click on Start Scan;
  • Let the scan run, the time required to complete the scan depends of your system and computer specs;
  • Once the scan is complete, make sure that the first checkbox at the top is checked (which will automatically check every detected item), then click on the Quarantine Selected button;
    • If it asks you to restart your computer to complete the removal, do so;
  • Click on Export Summary after the deletion (in the bottom-left corner) and select Copy to Clipboard. Paste the content in your next reply;

Yes, I know how to fix that. I'll give you the instructions after we're done cleaning up your system.
