My  MBAM suddenly will not scan. It checks the updates and the pre-scan but after about 50 seconds just goes to Finish. Tried it several times with no success.

Any clues please ?

Hello @Wittmann

Can you please run the MB-Check tool and attach the MB-CheckResults.txt .

The tool can be found at: https://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mb3_check

In the meantime what I would recommend is to try our new Beta 3.1.0 build. Is has a lot of fixes around scan issues nd performance issues as well. Let us know if you are still seeing issues with the new Beta build.

The Beta build can be found at:

Thank you,

Let's try this first so the team can review them to see what may be going on....

  1. If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and attach to your next reply the 4 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 4 logs are: mbam logs zipped, FRST.txt, Addition.txt and mb-checkResult.txt)

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank You,

First let me thank you for your quick response to my post.

I don't know how to say this, but I'll try.

When MBAM failed prior to my post - I gave the version - the icon was a white square, looked like a notepad and the result was the panel I sent. When I went back to MBAM following reading your replies, the icon had changed to a proper one.

I clicked it and the program ran perfectly to finish. It found 68 PUP's all belonging to Auslogics which I quarantined.

So all seems to be OK now and I have done nothing except install your Beta version 3.1.0.1716.

At least your advise to install the Beta version cured the problem, without coming on this Forum, that would never have happened.

Thank you.
