Ruben Posted April 25, 2017 ID:1119934 Share Posted April 25, 2017 First of all, I have to say: I've never installed Avast, I always use Windows Defender (Windows 10). Now, I can explain the problem: Yesterday, I detected some problems in Google Chrome, so I decided to install Malwarebytes and scan my computer. As I supposed, it was infected, and I could solve the problem. However, when I opened the task manager today, I noticed that there is a new process, the one in the picture. I haven't installed anything yesterday but Malwarebytes, and this appeared today. I've searched it on some websites and it seems to be malware, but Malwarebytes ignores it. So, can you tell me what it is?

Unicore Posted April 26, 2017 ID:1119962 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Looks as if Avast installed itself: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/608712/avast-safezone-browser-unwanted-install/
Staticguy Posted April 26, 2017 ID:1119983 Share Posted April 26, 2017 After you uninstall Avast via add/remove you should have used the Avast uninstall Utility. This tool completely removes all traces of Avast.
