Malwarebytes 3.06 Ransome ware does not turn on

I had the error of Ransomware not turning on. So I uninstalled 3.0 and installed 3.06 as instructed on this forum. Seem to work for a week or so. Then I started getting the pop up message Real Time protection layers turned off. Ransomware was turned off. Sometimes I can turn it back on and sometimes it just says starting forever. 

I read previous posts and have tried the Enable early startup for self- protection module but it made no difference. 

Has anyone found a real fix for this issue. Ransomware protection is a huge selling point. I need it to work on my pc before I roll it out to all my clients.
