I was at wit's end and ready to take an ax to my PC until Tom Mercado immediately answered my SOS and promptly provided the information I needed to purge the FAKE ALERT trojan from my system. He "virtually" held my hand throughout the entire process and in all my days of computing, I have never had such a positive customer service experience. What amazes me even more is that I am using a trial version of Malwarebytes, but despite not being a paid customer, Tom guided me through the process of removal. As soon as I finish this post, I will be a paid user and will sing the praises of this software (and Tom, too, of course) to all my associates and friends. I do not know the hierarchy of the Malwarebytes establishment, but if there is any process of reward or recognition for a job well done, Tom deserves it all. Thank you so much, Tom . . . you saved my PC . . . and my sanity.
