I have just managed to install a reputable program, Ashampoo Driver Updater, with great difficulty because Malwarbyes persistantly flags it up as a PUP. I think I have resolved the issue but perhaps only temporarily by disabling certain features of Malwarebytes. How do I ensure that Malwarebytes will accept this program in the future

Hi @AHG,

Sorry to hear that you had issues.

If you think this is a false positive, please report it here to our research team: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/forum/42-file-detections/

You do not need to disable any features in Malwarebytes to resolve this, please follow the steps here to add that program to your exclusions list: https://support.malwarebytes.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2659944-how-to-configure-exclusions-with-malwarebytes-3-0?b_id=6400

After adding the program to exclusions, I would recommend you return everything to default in your Malwarebytes settings.

If you need more help, please feel free to contact our support team directly at https://support.malwarebytes.com/customer/portal/emails/new?b_id=6400&utm_source=forum
