Since uninstalling Malwarebytes, rebooting my PC, running mbam-clean-2.3.0.1001.exe (available from the support area of the Malwarebytes website), rebooting my PC and then reinstalling the .05 version I did not have this problem reoccur. I left it for a few days without issue and then updated to the .06 version a few days ago and have still not had a reoccurrence of this issue.

This method of curing this issue was published in one of the many threads on this topic (sorry I can't remember who suggested it!) and my thanks to them for sharing it.

Well, I obviously spoke too soon!

After carrying out the process above the .05 version ran for 3-4 days without issue, I then saw the recommendation and updated to the .06 version and again this ran for 3-4 days without issue then yesterday I started getting the same issue, Real Time Protection - Web protection has stated turning itself off again. Glad I hadn't got round to sorting this issue on my laptop as that would have been a waste of my time!

Malwarebytes, many of us are paying customers and this is not what we expect. I accept that problems occur, but I do expect that they will be repaired and sorted out in a reasonable amount of time, which this hasn't.

It's back!

Same problem has come back again after a few weeks of stability, great.

Better news my emails to Malwarebytes support are being picked up as spam by something called Spamhaus Project, I guess this stops them from receiving support requests or having to deal with paying customers asking to have what they have paid for :^))

Hello @Jim_UK

Sorry, you're having issues with the program. I realize you may have done some of this already, but I don't see where you've supplied the requested logs when things were not working correctly.

  1. Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - Malwarebytes mb-clean tool (NOTE: After uninstalling with the mb-clean tool you will be asked to reboot.  Once you reboot it will ask you if you want to re-install Malwarebytes, you can select YES or you can download the latest version (currently v3.0.6 CU4.1) to re-install from HERE)
  2. If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and attach to your next reply the 4 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 4 logs are: mbam logs zipped, FRST.txt, Addition.txt, and mb-checkResult.txt)
  3. NOTE: More info about the latest Malwarebytes 3.0.6 CU4.1 HERE; MB 3 User Guide ONLINE; MB 3 User Guide PDF; MB 3 FAQ: Malwarebytes 3.0 - Frequently Asked Questions

Please let us know how it goes.

Thank You,
