Corporate 1.80 to Malware 3.06 ?

Anti-Malware Corporate 1.80.1.1011 i have, updated with
v2017.04.16.04. I am not sure the difference between this version and the new 3.x

I believe it is equivalent to version 2.x but what extra is in 3.x ?

I tried updating to the new version but it wont recognize my key
Is my version not updatable to new 3.x

also does using the Malwarebytes removal tool deactivate licenses as it uninstalls the program?

Hello and Welcome!

Version 3 is the consumer version and your current version of Corp 1.80.1.1011 license key can't be used to activate that version.  Depending on your license you may be able to contact the support portal to see about upgrading your license so it will work with version 3.

Also the newest version of mb-clean will deactivate your license but only with version 3x and above.  It will not deactive version 2 or version 1.

So if i had the corp edition installed and used the cleaner, will it recognise the same pc when i install it again or will it use another once of my licences up ?

 

What advantages does the consumer 3.06 have over the corporate 1.8 ?

If you use the cleaner tool with your corp edition, I would assume it will just uninstall it.  After the re-install it should recognize the same computer.  I however do no have the corp edition handy to test with so I can not be 100% sure.

Below is info on version 3.x.  In a nutshell it has Malware Protection, Anti-exploit protection, Anti-Ransomware Protection and Web Blocker.
