dashboard / scan display Latest version of Malwarebytes

The latest version of Malwarebytes the dashboard/scan is not displayed on double clicking the Malware icon on desktop but starts scanning automatically. The dashboard/scan displays only after the scan is complete.

On the previous version of Malwarebytes the dashboard/scan was displayed on double clicking the malwarebytes icon on desktop so the scan could be started manually.

Why the Change ??

This is strange. Perhaps you had a scheduled scan that got missed? Does this happen everytime you double click the desktop icon?

When you open the Dashboard, if a scan is running there will be a green moving line under the Scan tab.

Click on Scan and it will show you the scan in progress.

The point that I have been making is when I double click the malwarebytes icon on desktop the dashboard/scan display does not appear and the scan is started automatically, only after the scan has finished and double clicking the malwarebytes ion does the scan display appear showing the results.

I can then initiate a manual scan that is why I have rolled back to the previous version.

Did you stop Malwarebytes from running at startup? This sounds like you're missing a scheduled scan, and when you open from the desktop, it starts the missed scheduled scan. Can you run mb-check from the following link and upload the file it creates on your desktop?
