Cowboy Posted April 14, 2017 ID:1117318 Share Posted April 14, 2017 To protect our privacy now that Congress has removed it, what is the best Browser??
1PW Posted April 14, 2017 ID:1117322 Share Posted April 14, 2017 (edited) Remember, your ISP is likely watching and selling your information. Using Tor (anonymity network) (uses Mozilla's Firefox ESR browser) from within a trusted VPN tunnel is fairly secure. Then, never use Google as a search engine. However, you will trade speed for the privacy you have achieved. Edited April 14, 2017 by 1PW

sman Posted April 14, 2017 ID:1117370 Share Posted April 14, 2017 @Cowboy not only speed, accessing gmail will be a problem , deploying encrypting/decrypting tool to send/receive messages/file transfers would be a good trade-off.. my view..
sman Posted April 14, 2017 ID:1117374 Share Posted April 14, 2017 TOR also has been breached and there r alternatives which can also be tried as per https://cyberogism.com/2016/09/tor-alternatives/ (with I2P said to be good)..
sman Posted April 14, 2017 ID:1117388 Share Posted April 14, 2017 read this too. https://www.deepdotweb.com/jolly-rogers-security-guide-for-beginners/combining-tor-with-a-vpn/ Quote When it comes down to it, no VPN provider is going to risk jail to protect a $20 a month subscriber. No matter how tough they sound, no matter how much they claim to care about protecting their customers, when faced with a choice to give you up or go to jail, they will always choose freedom. with TOR some sites deny access , also to think about.. On Gmail, read this too..https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/gmail/tQzVdTlOE9o/tCIZvYfp0SsJ
