This is my first time searching for computer/malware help online, and I don't know if I'm doing this correctly.

My partner decided to download a game that I love back in February as a surprise. The file infected my 2 year-old clean laptop, and as the months have progressed I feel that I have only fixed half the problem. I bought Premium versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Malwarebytes, and IsMiner was insistent enough to keep appearing. I cleaned the laptop constantly, yet it kept appearing, I uninstalled, disabled, searched and my laptop was still struggling.

So yesterday I did a factory reset and reinstalled the security programs. I also added the programs in the exclusions of each one.

Now Malwarebytes says that Real Time Web Protection is not enable, and when I try to activate it, it gets stuck in 'Starting...'  but never starts. So when I do a search about this, I end up in this forum, saw something similar to my case, read the guide and here I am.

I just hope that the recent reset won't hinder your help. Thank you for your time.
