Malware Bytes command line scan

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

After looking for on forum and other information websites. I didn't found any informations.

In fact for security issues, I need to scan specified file(s) with Malware Bytes with my own script on Windows.
Thats why I permit myself to ask you this question before buying Malware Bytes :
Is Malware Bytes including command line or powershell cmdlets ?

I hope you can help me.
Thanks.

The consumer version does not have a CLI (command line interface) you would need the business version for that I believe.

Starting on page 33 of that guide from our support page, it goes over command line usage of our business product

Thanks ! But I didn't saw any command which allow me to scan a spécified file..

Is that not possible ?

@USR1231 Anti-Malware for Business' mbamapi commands regarding scanning cannot be used to scan an individual file. You can only define scan type; quick, full and flash, which are then ran against the system root drive. To scan an individual file with Anti-Malware for Business, enable context menu scanning option in the GUI under Settings \ General Settings \ Create right click context menu. Then navigate to that file and right click on it to scan just that file.

If you wish to run scans totally off scripts and have the ability to choose the path of the scan directly, that product would be Malwarebytes Breach Remediation - https://www.malwarebytes.com/business/breachremediation/

This product forgoes real time protection for more versatile scanning abilities over the standard Anti-Malware for Business and its mbamapi utility.
