new update shredding my cpu

malwarebytes was completely fine for the past few years but now they pushed out this terrible automatic update with ugly and laggy UI. Now when I try to scan it absolutely destroys my cpu, like it starts off checking for updates, then the next one, then it starts scanning memory and it will push my cpu to 100% usage from what used to be like 30% usage with the old update. I've tried to run it overnight before knowing about this bug and it legit just turned my computer off because it couldnt handle it.

I am on V3.0.6, and have done a fresh install but continue to have this same problem

i5-4440

8gb ddr3

That is by design so that a MANUEL scan can finish as FAST as possible. Do a threat scan and see how fast it finishes.  I never do a custom scan and have never needed it.
