I need some help with a possible false positive.

Recommended Posts

So, I turn on my PC to find that Windows Defender has found a trojan. ( Win32/Symwin.A ) In two files. C:/Windows/sysWOW64/1.txt C:/Windows/sysWOW64/2.txt Nothing was wrong last night. I didn't download or change anything. I scanned with  Malwarebytes before quarantining the files. It found nothing. Unfortunately, WD doesn't supply logs. I've looked the trojan up, I only see Microsoft pages about it. Is this legit or just WD being a bad piece of software? I don't see how a trojan could be in there. To my knowledge, sysWOW64 is part of the system OS. Thanks.
