yardbird Posted July 22, 2009 ID:101365 Share Posted July 22, 2009 Is the file in C:\Windows\temp ?? I would not worry about a temp file! I get the same one. After a re-boot/shutdown and a restart, its gone. at least on my end. Post back and let us know where the temp file is.
RIZZIES Posted July 22, 2009 Author ID:101402 Share Posted July 22, 2009 I deleted it and it comes back on reboot. It is in C:\Users\Ronni\AppData\Local\Temp
yardbird Posted July 22, 2009 ID:101412 Share Posted July 22, 2009 Mine appears in C:\Documents and Settings\user-name\Local Settings\Temp It can be deleted? But I would not worry about it now. You can always rt. mouse click on it & drop down to properties & see how big the icon is? its nothing to worry about. If your having no issues but that.. I can ask you to put it at the bottom of your list? Or I can PM an expert... which would you like? regards for now...
RIZZIES Posted July 22, 2009 Author ID:101416 Share Posted July 22, 2009 It is 34 bites . It reads D4DC8A4B0B6744788DEF2B74CF0D6A27. I will abide by your judgement. If you think I should leave it alone I will. If you think you should pm someone do.

MysteryFCM Posted July 22, 2009 ID:101425 Share Posted July 22, 2009 Although generally, text files are harmless, in this case, ppguid.txt has been known to be associated with an exploit. As such, this must be investigated to rule out the infection. To do so, please follow the instructions at;http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=9573
