Vista System "locks up" crashes

Hope someone can help. I have been using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for a long time now but presently it continues to fail. It begins the scan and then stops running and becomes unstable and system then crashes and shuts down. On restart system goes to a very long (6hr) checkdisk before coming back to life. There must be something wrong here. I totally removed the program and did a new install and get the same thing therefore I have no scan logs. Below is my Hijackthis file. Thanks for your help.
