Hello @Keith1947:

From step 7, please also individually attach the two (2) .txt text files from Farbar's FRST(64).exe.  Those file names are FRST.txt and Addition.txt and the FRST executable should be "Run as administrator" to obtain the correct result.

From step 6, the "C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\logs" sub-directory is hidden by default.  If you require more detailed guidance, please let us know.

Thank you.

Hello @Keith1947:

Please try for the FRST reports next.  Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your system's Administrator desktop.

Note: You will need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
.

  • Right-click the FRST64.exe/FRST.exe icon and select "Run as administrator".  When the tool opens, click Yes to the disclaimer.
  • Select the Scan button.
  • After a few moments, the tool should make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.  Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt).  If you have run the tool before, you need to place a check mark here.
  • Please attach the Additions.txt log to your reply as well.

We can return for the logs.zip archive after this procedure is successful.

Thank you.

Hello @Keith1947:

Sometimes Windows system's directories, sub-directories or files can be in a default hidden state, or have since been placed in a hidden state.  Where unhiding is undesired, the following procedure will permit access to a system's requested "hidden" component:

  1. Please login to the system in question with an Administrator account.
  2. Hold down the Windows Key WindowsKey.png + press R.  If successful, a Windows Run window will open.
  3. Type, or Copy and Paste, the following in the Open: textbox: "%ProgramData%\Malwarebytes\MBAMService" (Please do include both quote characters).  Select the "OK" button.
  4. If the last step was successful, a system explorer window will appear containing numerous sub-directories and files.
  5. Single right-click the logs sub-directory and single left-click "Send to         >" and then single left-click "Compressed (zipped) folder".  If a Windows system message box opens and asks for permission to place the zipped folder on the desktop, select "Yes" button.
  6. Dismiss the Windows explorer window.
  7. If successful, a "logs.zip" archive icon will have been generated to the system's desktop.  Please attach the logs.zip archive to the next reply in your forum topic.

Thank you.
