How to stop getting update notice for 2.x

3.x version has given me a lot of issues; generally I get an infinite loop on checking for updates during scan process. So, I just want to stay in 2.x version until next major update. However, I cannot figure out how I can stop getting a notice message for upgrading to 3.x version from 2.x version. Is there any function to disable the popup message?

 

Just reminder for admins. I had this infinite checking update loop issue during scan process since 3.0.6 version. I am not sure this is a known issue or not, but please fix it ASAP
