Hello,

So I picked up a virus doing something I shouldn't have down, by running sketchy software.  I should have know better.

Windows Defender "fixed" it, but then chrome kept crashing whenever I would browse to a webpage.

So I Malwarebytes(MB), and it found a whole bunch more of it.

But when starting up the computer this morning, I noticed MB was not running "malware protection", I flipped the start switch and it keeps says its "starting..." but never does.

I followed the direction and I have attached the FRST64 logs as requested.

Additionally I think the virus is preventing me from running adobe Premiere Pro, which is new today.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Matt

icon_exclaim.gif Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable. icon_exclaim.gif

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).

  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

Your directions worked like a charm.

My computer seems to be working well, I'll know more tomorrow as I need to crank on it all day.

I am not sure what malware/viruses I had on my system, but should I be worried about key logging or anything else that might have compromised login credentials websites & local?  Do I need or should I change all my vital passwords?

The log is attached.
