How long will XP be supported?

Recommended Posts

XP is still used by 9% of the users connected to the Internet. It is really noble and kind from MalwareBytes that you support this old operating system. My question is, how long will you do that?

Hello @palacs

You should still think about upgrading your OS to a high version. (At least Windows 7 Service Pack 2)

Microsoft does not support XP anymore , as a result you won't be getting any automatic updates from their end which is helpful to protect your PCCCCCCC.

Thanks

Malwarebytes 3.0 Anti-Ransomware isn't available on Windows XP (nor Windows Vista). And Malwarebytes 2.2.1.1043 (the latest 2.x version) will be discontinued this summer. So you'll need to upgrade to 3.0, but only 3 protection modules (Malware, Exploit and Web) will be available instead of 4 if you stay on Windows XP.

And you should really upgrade to at least Windows 7 (ideally, Windows 10) as soon as possible. There's no product that can patches system vulnerability in Windows XP if the OS itself is vulnerable.
