I ran malwarebytes and removed all the malware and now I am having trouble viewing anything with Mozilla firefox. Internet explorer works fine as does itunes and other programs, but Mozilla is giving me a message that says "The proxy server is refusing connections".

Hi,

To fix this in IE and Firefox:

In IE: Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab ->Lan Settings > uncheck "use a proxy server" or reconfigure the Proxy server again in case you have set it previously.

In Firefox in Tools Menu -> Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Network Tab -> "Settings" under Connection.

Also, start HijackThis and check the following entries:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=localhost:7171

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local;<local>

Then click the fix checked button below.
