I'm running Cybereason's RansomFree on a Win 7 Pro 64-bit machine a few days now, and so far no problems.
If I now upgrade my MalwareBytes Free from 2.2.1 to the new 3.0, will there be a problem?
(By the way, my main AV is Avast Free 17.2.2288.  I run MalwareBytes Free occasionally and to scan new downloads, but I don't usually leave it running.)
Thanks.

Hello @glnz and :welcome:

If the system in question is upgraded to the free version of Malwarebytes 3.0 (MB3), then no MB3 protection modules would be active in the on-demand second opinion scanner.  Hence, the chances of incompatibility approach zero.

Thank you.

1PW - Thanks,  Unfortunately, being only a lawyer and not a tech-person, I don't know what you mean by "no MB3 protection modules would be active in the on-demand second opinion scanner".

Just to simplify:  In my Win 7 Pro 64-bit machine, will there likely be any clashes among MB 3.0, Avast AV Free 17.2.2288 and Cybereason's RansomFree ?

If the good answer is "No,", do you know this from personal experience with these programs?

Thanks.

Avast AV Free AND Cybereason's RansomFree ?

Would not run either one my self but the point we are trying is to make is it does not matter with any program when you use the FREE Malwarebytes. The conflicts if any will only happen with the active PAID version.
